The U.S. and Singapore recently signed a new statement of intent to further express cooperation in the field of data analytics and artificial intelligence, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III publicly shared. The two parties are committed to enhancing the interoperability of systems and the responsible use of AI.
The announcement was made during Singapore’s Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen’s visit to the Pentagon to Austin-DefSec. Austin said the partnership between their two countries is deep, and Singapore – Singapore has participated in RIMPAC Defense and the new defence innovation Recent-MoU “has strong cooperation”.
Both areas have vowed to step up across numerous region-wide fields, battle training and dual-sided questions about their steadfast defence relationship in the Indo-Pacific.
